Welcome to my home. I am very lucky to live in one of Europe's most elegant streets. Although very central (a short walk over the hill to Princes Street), Heriot Row is a quiet, residential oasis in the middle of the cosmopolitan bustle of the capital of Scotland. Since I retired, and to save myself from boredom, I have been sharing my good fortune with visitors to Edinburgh by running a small bed and breakfast establishment. I believe that I can offer you a warm and friendly base which will send you out each morning ready to face a hard day's work or play.

For those wishing to enjoy Edinburgh's splendours Glendale House, situated in the conservation area of Craigmillar Park, 3km from the Edinburgh Castle and Princes Street is an ideal base. Close to the house which has secure private parking is a direct bus route that will quickly whisk you to all other major tourist attractions in Edinburgh. The bedrooms at Glendale Guest House, mostly en-suite, are all named after Scottish lochs and are furnished with comfort in mind; all have central heating, remote controlled television, direct dial telephones, hair driers, tea & coffee making facilities, Scottish mineral water and shortbread.
